Welcome Letter

MTIS is the world’s longest established headache conference since its inception in 1976.

It gives us considerable pleasure to invite you back to London for the 17th Migraine Trust International Symposium. MTIS is the world’s longest established headache conference since its inception in 1976.

We have always striven to place clinicians and scientists interested in headache together at a meeting run by our most important stakeholder: headache patients, particularly those with migraine, and those who care for them. Discoveries in mechanisms, new treatments and impacts of migraine affect all attendees, so our meetings have always attracted an international audience with the flair of London and the under-pinning of a solid patient-driven organisation - The Migraine Trust.

For 2018 there will be an outstanding scientific programme including teaching courses and an opportunity to present the latest data in abstracts. A public programme will be provided on the final afternoon. We will have industry-driven satellites where new and exciting therapies will be presented

MTIS deliberately occurs in years where there is no International Headache Congress and ensures a high-quality scientific meeting is available to the field every year. Please take the time to enjoy your stay in London and all it offers, and most of all enjoy the basic and clinical science that is making the world that little bit better for patients with migraine.
